Enjoy the indoor play spaces of the Smith Playhouse.
Lower Level : The beloved trikes and bikes area in the lower level of the Playhouse, also known as Smithville, has doubled in size with additional space for building, climbing, and imaginary play. New features include an area for infant/toddler exploration and a netted loft under the renovated skylights. The lofts will provide a comfortable space to read, relax, and get away from the high activity on the ground.
First Floor: The Bodek Hall on the first floor offers activities that visitors have come to know and love: kitchen and restaurant play area, puppet theater and block building.
Second Floor is home to Tinker Town — an interactive play experience that invites children to become builders, creators, and makers. It includes drawing and design stations; a fabric and soft construction area with weaving and quilt making; a building area with blocks and recycled materials; and a construction area equipped with tools and wood.
The second floor also features The Marion Stokes Library, an expanded and updated library; new public restrooms; and a Nursing Room.
Entrance is free, but reservations are required to ensure COVID-safe social distancing.
