The Merion Concert Band will present a concert for children of all ages at Smith on Thursday, July 11th at 7:00 PM. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets and the whole family out for a relaxing summer evening of music and fun in front of the Playhouse.
The band will play tunes to delight the entire family, including Barnum and Bailey’s Favorites, Looney Tunes Overture, Seventy-Six Trombones and Take Me Out to the Ball Game and many other recognizable, kid-friendly pieces. Children will have a chance to conduct the band in a rousing march to end the program and may visit the musicians and see the instruments up close at the end of the concert. Through carefully selected excerpts, they will be introduced to instruments from different instrument families, and they will have a chance to move and groove to the beat!
Tickets are $10 per person, or free for Smith members. Family memberships are on sale for just $25 until the concert. Get your tickets or become a member today!
