This opening will give visitors full access to the renovated Playhouse. The Bodek Hall on the first floor will offer activities that visitors have come to know and love: kitchen and restaurant play area, puppet theater and block building. The second floor will become Tinker Town — an interactive play experience. Tinker Town activities will invite children to become builders, creators, and makers. It will include drawing and design stations; a fabric and soft construction area with weaving and quilt making; a building area with blocks and recycled materials; and a construction area equipped with tools and wood.
The second floor will also feature The Marion Stokes Library, an expanded and updated library; new public restrooms; and a Nursing Room.
A Members-Only Preview of these play spaces will be held from Dec 20th through Dec 23rd. Entrance is free but reservations are required to ensure COVID-safe social distancing.
Reservations are good for the designated time only. If you arrive late, we will hold your reservation for 15 mins. After 15 mins., we reserve the right to release your reservation to another visitor. Your reservation will end at the designation time even if you arrive late.
